Under the Tide Turners: Saving Pranburi’s Shores and Mangroves project, we returned to the same shoreline with greater experience and clearer expectations. Once again, we worked through the beach and mangrove areas, removing plastic waste embedded in the sand and tangled among the roots—reminders that the problem persists even after past efforts. While we were more prepared this time, the day still held a surprise: soldiers concealed in the bushes and on boats, conducting military drills, briefly sharing the landscape we were working to protect. The experience reinforced an important lesson—environmental care is not a one-time action, but a commitment that requires persistence, awareness, and collective responsibility.
