Mangroves Protect the Land Season 4

The Mangrove School, Samut Songkram

June 27, 2026

We are officially back!

Below the Tides has returned to the Mangrove School for Season 4 of Mangroves Protect the Land. For the fourth consecutive year, our mission brought together the incredible energy of local school students and the dedicated hands of professionals from the workforce. Standing shoulder to shoulder, this intergenerational team braved a blistering, sun-drenched day to plant new seedlings and protect our coastlines.

Welcomed by Community Leadership

We were honored to kick off the day with an opening briefing from the Village Leader, Pu Yai Dai. He provided our volunteers with a vital update on the local ecosystem's health and expressed his deep gratitude for Below the Tides' sustained, year-after-year commitment to this specific habitat.

"While the natural survival rate of young seedlings can be low, the heart, community dedication, and consistent labor of your volunteers count for everything." — Pu Yai Dai, Village Leader

Why We Keep Coming Back

Mangrove ecosystems are among the most resilient yet threatened natural barriers on our planet. Beyond carbon sequestration, they protect coastal communities from erosion and foster vibrant marine biodiversity. For us, this annual tradition is about more than just numbers; it is about building an enduring relationship with the land and inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards.

Building a Greener Future

A massive thank you to every student, professional, and community member who poured their energy into the mud with us this season. Nothing stops this community when it comes to safeguarding our planet.

Together, we’re building a greener, more sustainable future — one mangrove at a time.
